Give Back

Veterans Volunteer

For nearly four decades, military veterans have donated their time and expertise to train and mentor the young adults of FCRC. We’re always looking for qualified volunteers.

Why Veterans Matter Here

FCRC isn’t a reenactment club — it’s a youth leadership program built on real military standards, taught by people who have lived them.

Veteran volunteers lead classroom blocks, supervise field training, coach fitness, and help riflemen understand what a military career — or a successful civilian life — actually looks like.

Our alumni network stays involved for years, helping every rifleman find their path in or out of uniform.

How You Can Help

We match your background and availability to what the post needs most.

Weekly Instruction

Teach or assist during Tuesday meetings (6–9 PM) at the Van Nuys National Guard Armory — classroom blocks, fitness, or hands-on skills.

Field Training

Support weekend field training exercises in Big Bear, the Mojave Desert, and partner military installations.

Mentorship

Talk with riflemen about careers, academies, enlistment, and life after high school — one conversation can change a trajectory.

Specialist Skills

Medical, communications, logistics, marksmanship safety officers, and other MOS-specific expertise is always valuable.
